Day 1: Arrival in Kigoma
Activity: Upon arrival at Kigoma Airport, you will be warmly received by our representative and transferred to your lodge on the shores of Lake Tanganyika. Spend the rest of the day at leisure, relaxing and enjoying the serene lake views as you prepare for your safari adventure.

Day 2: Kigoma → Gombe Stream National Park
Activity: After breakfast, board a scenic morning boat ride across Lake Tanganyika to Gombe Stream National Park, one of the smallest yet most famous national parks in Tanzania. In the afternoon, embark on your first chimpanzee tracking adventure, following trails through the forest to encounter habituated families of chimps.

Day 3: Gombe Stream National Park

Chimpanzee trekking permits are subject to strict availability; early booking is highly recommended.
Moderate physical fitness is required for trekking in both Gombe and Mahale. Waterproof hiking boots, light clothing, and rain jackets are advised.
Malaria prophylaxis is strongly recommended; also ensure you have yellow fever vaccination (mandatory).
Pack light but include essentials: insect repellent, sunscreen, hat, binoculars, and a good camera.
USD notes dated 2009 and newer are preferred for park fees and local transactions.
